January Workshop

Happy New Year!!! One of my New Year Resolutions is to try and keep this blog up to date more!  Once a month I have a little card workshop at home and a lovely group of ladies make 3 cards.  One of their requests was to make a Christmas card every month - so hopefully by the end of the year they will have at least 12 Christmas cards in their collection of cards!
The first card we made was using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set (101223) - it isn't a Christmas set - but this tree is a perfect spruce!  I have also used the sentiment from the Contempo Christmas set (118734/120594).  I have used Cherry Cobbler card and ink, the tree has been stamped in Old Olive, with some added sparkle and a Rhinestone Jewel (119246) on the top.  The card was finished off with a length of Scallop Dots Ribbon also in Cherry Cobbler (124138).

The card below was following a UKS 52 card challenge - following 3 prompts which this week was New, Circle and Scallops.  I followed a simple design and used new papers that I had untouched - these are the fabulous Mocha Morning Specialty papers (122366).  I used the scallop circle die (113468) on the Big Shot (113439), which I have cut in half, and simply layered patterned papers together - they all perfectly co-ordinate.  I have finished it off with a sentiment from the Tiny Tiny Wishes stamp set (115370), stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on Crumb Cake cardstock, with a button from the Neutrals collection (119743) and Linen thread (104199).  I also used the Scallop Edge Border punch (119882) to match the scallop circle. The paper-piercing has been done using the Paper-Piercing tool (116631) and the Mat Pack (105826). This has all been finished off on a Very Vanilla card.
The final card was using a new stamp set from our new Spring Mini Catalogue - I have used the Perfect Postage stamp set (126111/126113) and the Postage Stamp punch (122344) - this has been stamped in Marina Mist on Whisper White cardstock, back on Marina Mist, punched out using Curly Label punch (119851), backed on Bashful Blue cardstock, paper-piercing as before and finished off with Pearl Jewels (119247).  The sentiment is from the Pocket Silhouettes (111672) and punched out using Word Window punch (119857).  This has all been finished off on Crumb Cake cardstock and some Marina Mist striped grosgrain ribbon (119772).
Thanks so much for taking the time to look and if you wish to order any of the above items or require a Spring Mini Catalogue - please email me at sarah-e-wilkins@hotmail.co.uk
