September Card Club and Blog Hop

Hopefully you have hopped over from Lynne's stunning work from her lovely blog.
September saw the launch of the new Stampin Up Autumn/Winter catalogue.  It was decided that this months workshop would be three Christmas cards.  I have used a combination of new SU goodies from the new catalogue and goodies that are sadly retiring at the end of the month!
This card is using Island Indigo cardstock, with the new Festival of Prints Designer Series papers and Baja breeze ink.  The snowflake has been cut out using the new Snow Flurry Bigz Die and finished off with some jewels.  The sentiment is from Contempo Christmas, one of our retiring sets.
Using one of my favourite combos of Old Olive and Crumb Cake.  I have used Lovely as a Tree stamp set and the new (and my current favourite) Ornament Keepsakes stamp set with the Framelits Dies which are sold as a bundle. The lace here is being discontinued too- but don't worry the Victoria Lace is staying!  I have sneeked a little bit of Cherry Cobbler in this card too!
All I can say about this card is wow!! I was a bit susceptible about the Scented Stampin Emboss Powder when it was launched in the summer catalogue and completely bypassed it!! However I decided to give it a whirl.....and tried the Sugar and Spice one.  I have used the circle stamp from the Ornament Keepsake stamp set and stamped on to Very Vanilla - I made this card 2 weeks ago and the smell is still going strong - can you imagine the response you would get sending this card in the post!.....Merry Christmas!  I have used Rose Red cardstock and ribbon with one of our new Designer Ribbon Slides.  This gorgeous sentiment is from Heard from the Heart stamp set - another stamp set also retiring.
If you would like any of the above goodies or a peek at the new catalogue please don't hesitate to contact me at sarah-e-wilkins@hotmail.co.uk
