Wedding Invitations

Hello - some thing different from me - Wedding invitations!  I was asked by one of the girls at work if I could design her wedding invitations.  I was so pleased she asked me, she gave me the colours of yellow and green and a design of a very expensive wedding invite she had seen.  We abandoned the green as it just wasn't working and went with the gorgeous bright summer yellow and white.  Lindsay liked the yellow lace and buttons and wanted this featured on her invites.
I desiged the invite on the PC and used just a general font on my PC plus Ali Edwards handwriting font that I downloaded.  The cardstock used is Stampin Up Whisper White and Daffodil Delight.
I had real problems getting the right yellow lace - so in the end I used lace from Stampin Up and dyed it yellow using a Dylon Dye.  The buttons were plain white, hand sewn onto the lace.
Flowers were Prima - flowers of the month - November, Chrysanthemum, finished off with a little pearl in the centre.
The ink used to match the ink from my printer was Sahara Sand (and Daffodil Delight) and I used Stampin Up stamp set Pocket Silhouettes.
The RSVP's matched, I used a small flower stamp from an old set I had and made the centre sparkle with a little bit of stickles.

The evening invitation was made to match the main invite using the same stamp set as before
I have to say this is one of my favourite sets and I have used it dozens of times!
both invites have been embossed by hand - a single strip around the edge of the white card.

I stamped the envelopes to match the invites and I printed out the accommodation and directions to the hotel to match the same font as the invites.
I bought some boxes to store the invites and make it all look more professional
I finished off the boxes with a yellow bakers twine and a tag cut out using my nestabilities die.
RSVP's and Invitations

The boxes were finished off with Stampin Up Daffodil delight striped ribbon (my favourite ribbon!) and a little lace bow with the same flower that is on the main invites ( a little bit memorabilia that Lindsay can keep!).  I am hoping to use this ribbon again when I get to do the table plan, and I am also making the place setting cards and tags for the wedding favors -so watch this space!!

I am pleased to say Lindsay loved her invites and I thoroughly enjoyed making them.
Thanks for looking
Hugs Sarah x x
